WTA aptly describes the trail this way, “Green Mountain is the Kitsap Peninsula’s go-to after work destination. Whether you’re mountain biking, trail running, or hiking, you can get a quick workout by hiking the Gold Creek Trail up to the summit of Green Mountain.”
This hike is 5.0 miles round trip, walking through an old logged-off area, paralleling Gold Creek and crossing some bridges with views of the summit. So plan for a Spring hike surrounded by flowers & trees. Bring lots of water, shoes you are comfortable walking/hiking in, bug spray for mosquitos & don’t forget your snacks!
