Real Food Cabin Life — Winter Reach Experience
February 24 - February 26
SEASONAL REACH EXPERIENCE
Each of the four seasons we offer a 1 to 3 day reach experience inspiring and
strengthening a recovery pathway for healing, hopeful living!
Real Food Cabin Life on Whidbey Island
Friday 2/24 to Sunday 2/26
Open to 8 Participants!
For a weekend of adventure and nourishment, experience the delight of simple, natural whole
foods and fresh air living at a cozy beach cabin on Whidbey Island! We are a community where
‘health and wholeness’ is valued and discovered, lived and breathed! Along with beach hikes, fire-
pit chats, and cabin camping, your challenge will be to actively learn and participate in preparing
and eating the tasty goodness of meals that help us care for ourselves through food.
- What’s the itinerary? Purposely NOT over scheduling the weekend — it’s basically Eat, Sleep,
Move! in a way that cultivates natural connections, conversations, and activities!
The adventure will begin Friday 2/24 at 5:30pm at the Mukilteo Ferry where we will meet up
and travel together to the cabin. You’ll return early afternoon on Sunday 2/26.
- Help with transpiration is available.
- No cooking experience required and open to dietary restrictions.
- Homemade meals include chili, chicken, quesadillas, roasted vegetables, fall fruits, waffles, sloppy
joes, eggs, bacon, pumpkin pie and chocolate chip cookies! Also coffee, tea, spring water, apple
cider, raw honey, maple syrup, and raw milk/cheese!
- Led by Mark Adams, Director of Programs, who will use his doctorate in naturopathic medicine as
well as his expertise in creating The Optimistic Eater program to provide the simple outlets to be
most successful during this experience. Our Peer Support Supervisor, Tawnia Nelson, will also be
present to provide support whenever is needed or desired. Megan Fisher, Executive Director, and
Elisa Matthews, Activity Program Coordinator, will also be in attendance to bring excitement and
fun to the adventure!
