Brooke began her passion in the non-profit world at a young age when she hired an individual with intellectual disabilities. The mentoring relationship quickly resulted in the priceless knowledge that the most rewarding things in life can be accomplished one step at a time with simple, structured planning, and proper support. Her daily dose of patience is refueled with a simple smile and Disney quote from the expressive autistic 21-year-old in her life.
Brooke moved to the Pacific NW from South Carolina where she spent 5 years as the Senior Director of Operations of the Babcock Center, supervising Vocational and Residential Services. She was responsible for the oversight of operations to ensure the delivery and success of programs and services. Brooke also served 10 years as the Executive Director/COO for the South Carolina National Safety Council, where she built one of the largest non-profit safety organizations.
Brooke brings 25 years of experience planning and managing programs for non-profits organizations in Arizona, Florida, and South Carolina where she delivered training, consulting, and facilitation services for social change organizations, helping them to build their capacity in the skills and processes of collaboration. She has an outstanding record of directing non-profits, working with volunteers, staff, and volunteer boards and the business community. Brooke is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Phoenix with a Business Management degree.
Brooke enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, playing cards, watching movies, or binge-watching her favorite series. She loves to travel to the sunshine and can’t believe that PNW natives don’t use umbrellas. When weather permits, you can find her cycling the Burke Gilman Trail or on long walks but admits the Seattle rain usually contains her to an at-home elliptical or gym workouts.
